8th Grade Student  

Las Américas ASPIRA Academy 

Valentina Tamayo Rey is an 8th grade student at Las Américas ASPIRA Academy with a strong passion for both science and the arts. She is a dedicated and motivated student who demonstrates a commitment to academic excellence and personal growth. Valentina’s artistic abilities complement her analytical thinking, allowing her to approach  learning with creativity and curiosity. 

 Valentina is actively involved in Science Olympiad, where she has earned recognition for her achievements, including two awards one in Anatomy and Physiology and the second in Experimental Design. In addition to her academic involvement, she volunteers her time to support her school community, demonstrating leadership and a strong sense of responsibility. 

 Outside of school, Valentina enjoys reading and participating in arts and crafts. She is also passionate about community activism and has taken initiative by participating in a student board for the Delaware Pathway Summit, where she contributes her voice to issues that matter to her peers and community. 

 In the future, Valentina aspires to pursue a career in the medical field as an anesthesiologist while also double majoring in political science. Her ambition, dedication, and well-rounded interests position her as a promising leader and change maker.
